Alas, this is not the best Pablo Escobar biopic to become made in our lifetimes - real or even fictional.
The new series "Narcos, " developed by Chris Brancato, Eric Newman and Carlo Bernard, represents a pretty ambitious step with regard to Netflix. Set over several years in the 1970s as well as '80s, the crime drama pairs the storyplot of Steve Murphy (Boyd Holbrook), a difficult and obsessive DEA agent, with that associated with notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura), who played Robin Hood towards the poor folk of Colombia while accumulating billions of dollars in the cocaine business.
