Whose Waltz Scared the Judges and Lost Him a Chance for the Mirror Ball Trophy?

Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews

How's this for scary: Judge Len Goodman started the night in a casket!

It had been an appropriate opening because the returning judge had to help sound the death knell for Antonio Sabato Jr.

No matter how many times the soap star went shirtless under the mirror ball this season, he and partner Cheryl Burke just could not keep the judges, or viewers, happy.

"I danced with one of the best in the world, inch Sabato Jr. said. "It's all about the fans and that's why I am here. inch

Here's how the rest of the night played out:

Sabato Jr. and Burke.
The actual actor performed a dramatic Viennese waltz but the judges weren't moved. "It makes me uncomfortable to watch you, " said judge Carrie Ann Inaba. "It was a bit hectic at times, " added Goodman. Score: 27 from 40

Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd.
There's so much of the quickstep for your 'ol boy to remember, but he still charmed to "That Old Dark Magic. " "Tommy you did it again! " said judge Julianne Hough. "I'm telling you those kicks, that's hard. " "Surprisingly, you were quite great and whole, " added judge Bruno Tonioli. Score: 28

Lea Thompson & Artem Chigvintsev.
Their Argentine tango showed off her sexy, fishnet-covered gams that tripped the light fantastic after two weeks of ho-hum scores. "You stick it every single time, " said Hough. "Very clean, very precise, a large number, " added Goodman. Score: 34

Bethany Mota and Derek Hough. The actual YouTube star - or was that Maleficent? - pulled off an exceptional paso doble amid a fancy stage production with drums and lots of flowing red-colored curtains. "You became flawless, " said Inaba. "The dance got a little lost in the whole production for me, " added Goodman. Score: 39

Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater.
The jive proved too challenging for the racecar car owner, who drove his partner to tears during rehearsals over fears the girl was failing him. "On driving terms, you are running on empty right now, " said Goodman. "You've broken the record of being off time, inch added Tonioli. Score: 20

Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy.
The celebrity danced a fairly flawless Viennese waltz to the theme song of her strike ABC Family show, Pretty Little Liars, though it didn't thrill the actual judges. "The only thing I was truly missing was a proper Viennese waltz, " said Hough. "The Halloween thing got away from you a little bit. inch Score: 31

Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson.
The actor performed a lovely rumba after an injury-laden rehearsal that prompted Carson to humorously provide her partner a "snack. " "Full of content, " said Tonioli. "You were taking care of your woman! " "I am so impressed, " added Inaba. Score: 36

Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas.
There were lots of zombies as well as skirt fluffing in this dramatic paso doble that came with its own undead dance troupe. "The theme of the dance got in the way, " harrumphed Goodman. "You all lost the reason for the competition. " Score: 30

Team Itsy Bitsy.
Parrish, Thompson and Moto shined despite a few missteps by Waltrip - not really that the judges cared. "You killed that number! " said Tonioli. "You didn't make anyone look bad, " added Inaba, speaking to Waltrip. Rating: 36

Team Creepy.
Ribeiro, Sabato Jr., Chong and Robertson danced the actual "Time Warp. " "I like this performance better, " said Inaba. "I thought it was very unique. " "It was full of individual personalities, " additional Goodman. Score: 32
