An excellent I met Katie in person, it wasn’t just her impossibly radiant pores and skin - yes, at 35, she uses Olay - that I noticed. Rather, what really stood out was her hair. She has, no kidding, IDEAL hair. The kind of hair you would normally hate someone for having - thicker, lustrous, straight-but-not-flat, shiny-but-not-limp, simply gorgeous hair. It was hard not to stare.
Once i learned that Katie’s hair was thanks to the other beauty deal she’s struck during the past year - as co-owner and spokesperson for Alterna, an all-organic type of hair care products - I stopped being envious and started asking queries. Specifically, which products had she used that day, and would they are doing the same for me?
“I swear by the CC cream, ” she said, referring to the brand’s multi-purpose product. The “Complete Correction” cream treats, protects and designs hair with ten benefits in one versatile formula from high-shine to dampness and UV protection. I’m pretty sure it will also take you to dinner and a movie in case you ask nicely. It’s that good.
Then Katie explained that once she’s allow the CC cream work its magic, she has another secret weapon to extend the girl perfect hair day into a second 24 hours. “Let’s be honest, most days I am not going to go and get a blow-out. Forget it, ” she stated. Instead, she reaches for Alterna’s Bamboo Style Cleanse Extend Dry Hair shampoo. It’s basically the love child of a dry shampoo and a texturizing spray -- it goes on clear but absorbs oil and product build-up with no powder-like residue, and adds unbelievable volume to hair that would otherwise be heading limp.
I snagged a bottle that afternoon, and sprayed it within the next morning. That’s when I discovered the other hidden benefit of this mist. I had formed thought Katie smelled amazing that afternoon because of some rare and costly fragrance I assumed she was wearing. Nope. It was this stuff - that comes in a scent Alterna calls “Sugar Lemon. ” With a name like this it probably tastes as good as it smells.
