The singer and InStyle November cover girl also nabbed the respect in 2011, which makes her the first artist to be able to win the award twice.

The Woman in the Year award is given to an artist who also “has shaped and inspired the music market with her success, leadership and innovation within the last twelve months, ” Janice Min, co-president and also chief creative officer of Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group (which includes Billboard), mentioned. She lauded Swift as “one of the very influential artists of her generation. ”
