T Magazine: At Carven, Snakeskin Mary Janes With a Racing Stripe
Carven’s spring/summer 2015 presentation today offered up a mixed bag of influences — mod ’60s silhouettes, motocross gear, traditional Japanese motifs — that somehow harmonized beautifully. Like the clothes, the flat shoes were sweet, yet full of surprises. This girlish, Mary Jane-style silhouette looked new thanks to its snakeskin material, graphic cutouts, contrast trim and racing stripe on the vamp.
