Like most 20-somethings, the photographer Loren Parisella is not one to shy away from exposure. And in one of her most recent bodies of work, “Some Other Way,” she shares an intimate portrait of her grandparents’ Staten Island house, which she has called home for the past 22 years (she’s 23). The project stemmed from Parisella’s realization, as a young adult, that the house has been declining for as long as she’s been living there. She also became unsettled by a certain contrast: she was just at the beginning of her own life while the property was at the end of its own.
