Rating Snafus

According to Bruno Tonioli, the idol judges have "three to four seconds" every dance is over to write down their score. "We write it down on a piece of paper, " explains Adombrato, which is then handed to Carrie Ann Inaba, who then hands it to some producer nearby. Although the judges probably come with an idea of what they'll score a celebrity 3/4 of the way through, "we avoid score before the dance is over, " describes Bruno. "Somebody could fall down at the really end! Can you imagine we maybe give them a ten and then plop?! "
