Olivia Palermo seems to always be one step ahead of the fashion curve. So really, it is about as no surprise that our favorite style-setter found a more novel way than the regular double wrap-and-knot method to tie her scarf.
Over the weekend, Palermo weathered the actual autumn chill and took Mr. Butler out for a stroll in an extra-large camel cardigan layered over a caramel brown top and what looks like black tights that she paired with black suede thigh-high Stuart Weitzman “5050” boots. For added insulation, she treated her fur-accented plaid scarf like a shawl, wrapping this around both shoulders and knotting it in the center.
This isn’t the very first instance of her fresh, experimental scarf-tying ways. During London Fashion week, she took inspiration from the Burberry Prorsum fall/winter 2014 runway and remaining her printed chiffon Burberry scarf long and loose, belting it to safe it in place.
We have about four months of cold weather ahead of us, as well as we’re hoping (anticipating, really) for more Palermo-approved scarf styling techniques. In the meantime, include interest to your fall-ready looks and bundle up with a scarf, shawl-style. That’s the wrap!
