Despite telling FAMOUS magazine on Monday that if he needs to be single for a while, Cat 'would be understanding if that were the case, ' the couple appear closer than ever.
Whether they're checking in at the airport, walking in a park, arriving at their hotel or having a night out on the town, Lawson affectionately embraces Cat like a doting boyfriend.
'I have obviously been in a relationship for a long time, and it's just sort of happened this way that I've had feelings for Cat, ' he told the publication after cheating on his girlfriend of five-years Candice Leeder with his 31-year-old lover.
'Cat's a mature girl who's got a good head on her shoulders and understands where I'm coming from. '
But if photographs of the love rat and Cat are anything to go by, the pair are very much in the honeymoon stages of their relationship.
After a quick trip to Sydney last week, the duo arrived back on the Gold Coast where they hit up the local club scene.
Posting a selfie with Cat as they stood in-line at Sin City nightclub, the ginger captioned the couple-esque picture: '#firstnightout'.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday morning following his eviction from the Big Brother compound, he said just because they were 'labelled as a couple in the house' doesn't make them girlfriend and boyfriend.
When asked if he was in a relationship with the 31-year-old midwife he said: 'No, not at all! '
'We were labelled as a couple in the house just like the other couples that's because we are two people that spent a lot of time together in the house, so what else would they have to call us? ' the 23-year-old sniped.
And on reaching out to his long term girlfriend, he said the beautiful blonde student didn't want a bar of him: 'Very understandably she does not wish to speak to me. That's completely understandable, she may never want to speak to me, ' he added.
