A Simple Arm Workout to Get Red-Carpet Ready

The red carpet season is getting close to fast (the CMA Awards are on Wednesday! ) and now is the perfect time and energy to start implementing workout routines that focus on sculpting your upper body so that you glow inside your strapless gown. Even though you may not be bound for that glitzy awards night, I know which you have your own personal red carpet to walk down, whether it be your wedding (or one to your best friend), a banquet for your favorite charity or even meeting some great close friends that you haven’t seen in a long time. You want your body to feel healthy and toned in order that when you smile it shows all over!


Remember, it’s not just about this great workout, your nutrition is a huge part inside meeting your goals. Cut back on your sugar and alcohol intake now. And a pair days prior to the event, reduce your sodium so water retention and bloating won’t cover all that hard work. Cut back on processed foods such as soups, breads, cheese and frozen dishes to help reveal those muscles hidden just below the surface.

Cardio is key as well to this master plan, mix in two to three days of high intensity burst exercises such as jump rope, sprints and hill running for top results.

To make sure you look great in your strapless dress, grab your light pair of weights - anywhere from 3 to 8 pounds - and knock out these about three arm exercises three times per week.
