It is hard to get New Yorkers to look two times, but from October 9-12 this year, devious ninjas, Medieval warriors, and superheros overloaded the city’s transit system as more than 100, 000 action fans flocked in order to New York Comic Con. In addition to occasionally preventing in our tracks (imagine seeing this guy able to work?! ), the creep-out convention additionally provided a ton of Halloween costume inspiration. We monitored down the most stunning examples of Cosplay we're able to find, from a steam punk “Jane” Skeletal system to a deliciously creepy Cheshire Cat through Alice in Wonderland (pictured, above right) and Wicket the Ewok from Come back of the Jedi (pictured, above left).
The secret to standing out within the biggest costume party in town? Prosthetics assist, as do props. But to truly go above the Con crowd, invest in a pair of coloured contact lenses. Word of caution: Only purchase from certified distributors. The FDA advises to prevent wear “one size fits all” lens. Take the time to visit an eye doctor (an ophthalmologist or optometrist) to have your eyes calculated. Then, you’ll get a pair of prescription fish eyes you can wear for this year’s Halloween as well as Comic Con 2015!
