Courtesy Transitioning a wardrobe between seasons is always tricky, so that’s why we were super impressed with our intrepid reader Lindsey Brown. The Chesapeake, VA native followed the sartorial advice of our dynamic style duo, Fashion Director Cindy Weber Cleary and Senior Market Editor Dana Avidan-Cohn, in the “Fashion Director vs. Fashion Editor: Long Vest” story from our October issue. (They each pieced together two casual-cool fall outfits with a sleeveless Calvin Klein topper.)

Brown put her own spin on the piece, opting for an edgy leather style by ASOS instead. “It’s cold enough outside in fall to need a light layer, but a full coat is too heavy,” she told InStyle
